Those of you who have been to class this week will

Those of you who have been to class this week will know that we've been exploring this idea of a “new year new you” that's pushed upon us each January. It's as if, after softening into a slower pace of life for a week or so over the festive season, we suddenly need to jump back into it, make up for the time and productivity lost and set loads of goals and get working on them at 9am on January 1st!

But softness and rest isn't something we need to apologise for or make up for.

If you take a moment to look outside, you'll notice that nature is still very much wintering. The trees are still bare, there's not many hours of daylight and it’s still very cold. January isn't nature's time to re-set - March is.

Right now we are still in the middle of winter.

Tradition tells us to be motivated, but nature and our biology quietly whisper and remind us we are still resting.

January is a month for turning inwards - for having space to think, time to notice what's going well and what's no longer working, time to listen to and honor your heart.

We are starting the slow transition into the longer days and the higher temperatures, but we're not there just yet!

I've had a wonderful festive season, full of time with family, nurturing hobbies and taking things a little slower. I hope you are feeling rested 🙏

Now I'm back to it and ready to share my first events of the New Year 🙌

Our first Sunday Shala gives you space to reflect and release as we transition into the new year 💞

And I'm super excited to share my Yoga Rave!

Whether you’re an ’80s raver or a ’90s clubber, get your neons on and join me for a Yoga Rave! Think delicious vinyasa flows, mindful movement, and wiggles, all guided by your breath. Dance your socks off, bring out your inner raving hippy, or close your eyes and feel the beat. Let the combination of music, meditation, and yoga encourage you to let go and have some fun 🎵🪩

My regular classes all start back next week too
